The admission process at R. R. Mehta College of Science and C. L. Parikh College of Commerce, Palanpur strictly follows the guidelines prescribed by Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University (HNGU), Patan. All admissions are conducted through the centralized Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) portal of the Government of Gujarat.

Admissions to B.Sc. Semester-1 (all subjects), B.Com, M.Sc., and M.Com programmes are purely merit-based, determined by the marks obtained in the qualifying examination as per HNGU rules. The college fully complies with the reservation policy prescribed by the University and the Government of Gujarat for categories including EWS, Female, OBC, SC, ST, PwD, and others. Spot quota admissions are also offered as per university guidelines. There is no management quota.

The entire admission process — registration, document verification, merit list preparation, seat allotment, fee payment, and issuance of ID cards — is conducted online through the GCAS portal, ensuring a transparent, paperless, and student-friendly experience.

A dedicated Help Center operates in two shifts to provide technical support and grievance redressal to students and parents throughout the admission process. The college follows the university’s fee refund policy for cancelled admissions and does not retain any original documents of the students.
