The Center for Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) at R. R. Mehta College of Science and C. L. Parikh College of Commerce, Palanpur, has been established to nurture innovation, self-reliance, and entrepreneurial skills among students. This cell reflects the institution’s commitment to go beyond traditional academics and prepare students for real-world challenges and self-employment.
One of the major initiatives of the ED Cell is the organization of 15-day training programs focused on developing entrepreneurial competencies. These training sessions are often supported by government agencies and cover essential topics such as business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, legal formalities, and various government schemes for new entrepreneurs.
The training programs are highly interactive and practical. Experts from industry, successful entrepreneurs, and government officials are regularly invited to share their valuable experiences and insights. This exposure helps students understand real-life business challenges and motivates them to transform innovative ideas into viable ventures.
The ED Cell also focuses on building confidence and motivation among students. Through workshops, seminars, and mentorship sessions, it addresses common fears related to entrepreneurship and encourages students to consider self-employment as a rewarding career option. Students are also guided about various government schemes, subsidies, and financial assistance programs available for startups.
Through the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, the college aims to create a new generation of confident, innovative, and job-creating entrepreneurs who can contribute significantly to the economic growth of the region and the nation.
