International Microorganism Day 2026: 'Beyond the Petri 2026' Theme: 'Discover • Innovate • Transform' (Tiny Organisms... Big Impact!)

On the occasion of International Microorganism Day 2026, celebrated under the banner 'Beyond the Petri 2026: Discover • Innovate • Transform', the Department of Microbiology at R. R. Mehta College of Science & C. L. Parikh College of Commerce, Palanpur, in active collaboration with the Microbiologists Society of India (MBSI), MBSI Student Unit, and International Microorganism Day (IMD), organized a grand academic and co-curricular celebration on 28th September 2026. As part of the competitive events, the 'Stone Art Competition' was conducted from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM in Room No. 04. Dr. Haresh Gondaliya, Assistant Professor, was cordially invited as the Expert Judge to evaluate students' artistic creations depicting microscopic life, antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and microbiological structures on stone. Dr. Gondaliya carried out meticulous evaluation considering originality, microbiological precision, aesthetic presentation, and technical detailing. His participation significantly contributed to fostering interdisciplinary creativity, experiential learning, and student engagement in accordance with institutional NAAC Criterion V and Criterion I benchmarks.
